Privacy policy
Under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Last updated: 6 September 2026.
This website is deliberately plain. It runs no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no social media plug-ins, and it loads nothing from third-party servers – fonts, styles, scripts and images are all served from our own domain. As a result the amount of personal data we handle is very small, and we do not need to ask you to accept anything before you read the site.
Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here is:
- OMNI Capital Ltd
-
Alpenstrasse 2, 6330 Cham, Switzerland
info@omnicapital.ch
We have not appointed a data protection officer, and we are not currently required to appoint a representative in the EU or the United Kingdom. Send any question about data protection to the address above with 'Data protection' in the subject line.
What we process, and why
Server logs
Our hosting provider records a technical entry for each request: the IP address, date and time, the page requested, the response code, the amount of data transferred, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. This is necessary to deliver the site, keep it available and defend it against attack, which is our overriding legitimate interest (Article 31 FADP; Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log entries are kept for a short period – typically no more than 30 days – and then deleted or anonymised. They are not combined with any other data and are not used to identify you.
Enquiries by email and through the form
If you write to us, or use the enquiry form, we process the name, email address, organisation and message you provide, together with the date. We use this only to read, answer and keep a record of your enquiry. The legal basis is the handling of a request you have made, together with our legitimate interest in ordinary business correspondence (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR where applicable). Providing the information is voluntary, but without a name and email address we cannot reply.
Correspondence is retained for as long as the matter is live and thereafter for as long as we may need it to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, or as Swiss law requires records to be kept. Enquiries with no follow-up are deleted once they are plainly no longer needed.
Please do not send sensitive personal data, account information or confidential documents by email or through the form. Ordinary email is not a secure channel.
Your display preference
If you choose light or dark from the control in the header, that
single choice is stored on your own device in your browser's local
storage under the key omni-scheme. It is a
setting, not a cookie: it is never transmitted to us or to anyone
else, contains no identifier and exists only so the site looks the
way you asked next time. Clearing your browsing data removes it. If
you never touch the control, nothing is stored at all.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. There is therefore no consent banner, and nothing for you to accept or reject. Should we ever introduce anything that stores or reads data on your device beyond the display preference above, we will say so here, explain the purpose and – where the law requires it – ask for your consent first. You can in any case block or delete storage of this kind in your browser settings at any time.
Who receives your data
We do not sell personal data and we do not disclose it for advertising. Data is shared only with:
- our hosting and email providers, acting as processors on our instructions under a written contract that binds them to confidentiality and permits them to carry out only the processing we would be entitled to carry out ourselves;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and tax experts, where they need it in order to advise us. They are themselves subject to the FADP and bound by confidentiality, and lawyers are additionally bound by professional secrecy;
- public authorities and courts, where we are legally obliged to disclose.
A processor may not engage a sub-processor without our prior written authorisation, which we are entitled to refuse.
Transfers abroad
Our providers may process data in the European Economic Area or in other countries. Where a recipient is in a country that does not offer adequate protection under Swiss or EU law, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, recognised by the Federal Council with the Swiss amendments, together with any additional measures the circumstances require. You may ask us for a copy of the safeguards in place.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We keep access to enquiry correspondence limited to the people who need it, and we review our arrangements periodically. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data in transit to us.
Your rights
Under Swiss data protection law you may ask us for information about the personal data we hold about you, and may request that inaccurate data be corrected and that data be deleted or its processing restricted. You may object to processing based on a legitimate interest, and in certain cases you may ask to receive your data in a common electronic format or have it passed to another controller. Where the GDPR applies, you have the equivalent rights under it.
Write to info@omnicapital.ch. We answer within 30 days, and will ask for proof of identity where we cannot otherwise be confident who is asking. Exercising these rights costs you nothing.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, or – where the GDPR applies – to the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
Children
This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the company develops, in particular when it begins regulated activity. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
